Watch a plain pillar become a light show
This film shows the whole Prism workflow on one real pillar. You see the app on screen and the projection in a real room: map the faces, find the outline, add effects, build scenes, and project.
A plain white pillar becomes a light show. Mapped, masked, and animated in Prism, then projected live in a real room.
Moment by moment
What you see in the film
-
A plain white pillar
The film starts in a dark room with a plain white corner pillar. The show uses two of its faces.
-
Map any surface
Each face gets its own surface in Prism. Drag the corners onto the real edges while you watch the projector, and the picture bends to fit. How to map a surface
-
SAM 3 masking finds the outline
Photo to surfaces is an experimental feature. Take a photo of your space and Meta's SAM 3 model finds object outlines. Four numbered markers line the photo up with your projector, so the mask lands on the real object. It needs your own Meta API key or a SAM 3 service. More about Photo to surfaces

Show effects
Prism has 22 effects. The film shows four of them side by side, in Prism and on the wall: Neon edges, Laser grid, Sinking boxes, and Rising liquid. Prism draws them live, so they follow your mapping and your colors. See all 22 effects
-
Scenes and one-click animation
The looks become a show in scenes, with 14 transition styles such as fade, flash, iris, wipes, and glitch. One-click animation adds moves like fade, flicker, wipe, pop, and pulse. How to build scenes
-
Projected live
The same show plays on the real pillar from Prism's clean projector output. No editor panels or handles reach the wall.

Map anything. Light everything.
The film ends on the Prism logo and the address of this site, prismap.app.

Open the pillar show in Prism
Prism includes a Pillar light show sample. It maps two corner faces and plays the show in six acts: Ignite, Scan, Virtual light, Sinking boxes, Rising liquid, and Close. Each act uses a different transition.
Open it from the Samples dialog. You can change its colors, timing, and transitions without After Effects or pre-rendered video. Then fit the two faces to your own pillar and project it.
Read the getting started guide to map your first object step by step.
